The Yin and Yang of a Powerful Trip

I will be leaving JFK on 16 August and flying to Frankfurt Germany for this tour with Ken and his company Conservative Tours. My trip is going to include the D-Day beaches, Paris, the Nazi surrender, the Battle of the Bulge, the Sigfried line and Monmartre and more. Ken promises a history lesson second to none. He said I’d learn things “off the beaten path “ that tourists generally don’t see or hear of.
This D Day tour is certainly going to be a yin and yang of emotions. To be able to reflect on the history and the sacrifices made there. I’m guessing that this is going to be a trip of both gratitude and sorrow and I’ll post my reflections along the way.
I had to send him a photograph of myself so that I would be recognizable. He made a comment about my pink hair and I guess I’ve got, like Desi Arnez used to say “you got lots of splainin to do” about pink hair to a very conservative bunch!
Stay tuned…..
